Tool arrives and is inspected. Customer contacted to discuss project requirements.

Texturing manager coordinates staff and schedules work.

Mold is disassembled, prepped and cleaned.

Specified holes, ribs, and non-texture areas are masked and sealed.

Tools are sterilized and flash etched to expose welds, EDM, and tool hardening marks.

Tools are thoroughly inspected for imperfections and potential problems.
No imperfections or problems
EDM scale is discovered
Weld is discovered
Tool hard- ening marks are discovered
Customer called
Polish out EDM scale
Send out to be stress tempered
Affected area is stoned down slightly

Etch is applied.

Apply additional etches when required.

Quality manager inspects tools and components for accuracy and consistency.

Once approved, tools are thoroughly stripped of all residue.

Tools are sprayed with rust prohibitor and securely packaged.

All acquired information is documented and filed.

Customer is notified and shipping arrangements confirmed. |
